BLDC motors - SPG

The absence of brushes in a brushless DC motor is probably its biggest advantage. The carbon brushes of a brushless DC motor wear out over time and require replacement, leading to downtime and expense. A brushless DC motor generates much less noise by eliminating the brushes and commutator and the sparking between them. 

A brushless DC motor is typically smaller and lighter than a brush DC motor, making it ideal for applications where weight and space are important factors. It is also more powerful and requires less maintenance than a brushless DC motor. It has higher speed ranges, higher dynamic response and ultimately outperforms the brush DC motor in total operating hours.
