Universal control unit for stepper motors and BLDC motors. Using a PCI Express connector, this plug-in controller can be quickly and easily integrated into a customer-specific board. It provides a compact and economical solution for multi-axis applications and reduces wiring requirements. For evaluation purposes, Nanotec offers single-axis motherboards for different buses.

Unique SENSORLESS CLOSED LOOP feature - after performing an autosetup, the controller is able to detect the motor speed even if it is not equipped with an encoder. The control unit creates its own virtual encoder. Using this virtual encoder, the control unit is able to detect the motor speed at motor speeds higher than approx. 100-200 rpm (depending on the motor type) and control the motor as if it were running in a closed loop - the motor is quieter, has minimal resonance, higher efficiency, less heating.
